Emmaus High School Marching Band
Band camp is where the season comes together. Students learn music, marching fundamentals, drill, and show choreography while building the teamwork and confidence that will carry them throughout the year.
Band camp is an active and important part of the marching-band season. Students will spend time both indoors and outdoors working on music, movement, marching technique, drill, and ensemble performance.
Students should come prepared to work hard, stay hydrated, support one another, and have fun as the show begins to take shape.
Students should begin hydrating before band camp and continue drinking water throughout each rehearsal day. A large refillable water bottle is essential.
Students should apply sunscreen before arriving and bring additional sunscreen for reapplication during the day.
Any student who feels dizzy, weak, nauseated, overheated, or otherwise unwell should immediately notify a director, staff member, or chaperone.
Students should bring a lunch each day unless the directors announce a provided meal or a different schedule. Choose foods that will hold up safely during the day and provide enough energy for an active rehearsal.
Band camp may continue in light rain or changing weather, but rehearsals will be adjusted or moved indoors when conditions require it. Severe weather, extreme heat, or other safety concerns may result in schedule or location changes.
Families should monitor official messages before leaving home and throughout the day.
Important marching-band announcements, schedule updates, and calendar information are shared through official band communications.
Follow the attendance procedure established by the directors and communicate as early as possible.
Rehearsal may continue, move indoors, or be adjusted depending on the conditions. Watch official communications for updates.
Parents do not ordinarily remain for rehearsal unless they are serving in an approved volunteer role.
The student should immediately tell a director, staff member, or chaperone. Families will be contacted when appropriate.
Come prepared, stay hydrated, work hard, and get ready for an unforgettable marching-band season!
Questions about rehearsal expectations, attendance, music, or student participation should be directed to the band staff.
Questions about volunteering, uniforms, parent accounts, or EPIMC support may be sent to support@epimc.org.
